The Machinery Manufacturing Industry, which has a special importance in the process of industrialization of all countries of the world, is described as an important part of the engineering industries and as the basic element of the economy especially in the European Union.

With the rapid development of high added value, which it has created, and with its contribution to other sectors, machinery-manufacturing industry has been the driving force of industrialization in Turkey as well, since the beginning of the last century. As a result of this interaction, the machinery manufacturing industry has become more successful compared to the other manufacturing industries, and its exports have constantly been above the average of the export increase for Turkish industries overall.

The Central Anatolian Machinery and Accessories Exporters' Union was established on the 13th of June, 2002 and has been officially in act since the 15th of July 2002. The Central Anatolian Machinery and Accessories Exporters' Union is the only one where the machinery exporters are represented and has about nine thousand members.

The development of our exports by way of methods like; gathering all the firms operating in the sector under one roof, determining their problems and finding solutions to those problems by bringing them to the related authorities in the bureaucracy, and also by arranging fairs and Trade Delegations in order to organize the actions which would contribute to the improvement of the sector, setting up a platform on which the exporters could make their voices heard, have been the basic principles in establishing this union.

The exporter unions, which act as a bridge between the private sector and the State, at the same time, continue to their activities related to increase the amount of our exports. Speaking in this frame, the General Secretariat of Central Anatolian Exporter Unions and all the members of the Board and either those high level managers or the staff of experts continue their activities for the purpose of achieving the competitive force they deserve for our firms acting in the Turkish Machinery Industry.

Between these activities are to participate in fairs, establishing trade and purchasing missions and preparing reports about the countries which form potentials for our exports and preparing Sectoral Evaluation Reports in terms of sub sector basis.

On the other hand, brochures introducing the Machinery sector have been prepared and printed in English, Russian and Arabic languages to be distributed in the fairs, which carry importance to the eminence of the sector both in the country and abroad.

Written and visual media products are developed in order to form the manufacturing conscience and to attract the attentions to the importance of the machinery sector.

Besides this, in order to make the voice of our Union and Turkish Machinery Exporters be heard in the magazines of the countries, which are described as potential markets, our efforts towards the advertising campaigns have started.

Our efforts which are put into practice in order to provide Turkish products become trademarks and provide opportunities for common enterprises together with foreign investors, and the success that the sector has shown both in the production and in opening abroad, will provide our sector even in the oncoming years to get the place it deserves and become one of the basic sectors between others which force our countries' industry.
